Google Sheets and Prayer Timetables

One of the most fundamental duties of a Mosque is to ensure that it maintains an accurate Prayer Timetable hygiene. What I mean by hygiene is to ensure there is a single source of truth such as a spreadsheet and a select few who are given the responsibility to maintain this single source.

From our experience working with number of mosques, we can safely recommend Google Sheets as the platform most suited for maintaining Prayer Timetable. It allows for collaboratively working and most importantly allows for data to be accessed by other systems via the Google API.

Our Prayer Time widget on the website accesses the prayer times from Google Sheets as well as the Timetable displayed on the TV so that the times are consistent across the platforms.
